We made it to Ireland! Too tired now to write a proper account of our trials with Ryanair (bottom line: never fly with them - they will try to charge you at least twice) but we're now in another country and an extremely magical, beautiful one at that. It may be that I am more than a little biased but it is already the most beautiful place I've ever seen. I can't believe I never came to Ireland before this point in my life. No good pics yet but enjoyed a really good dinner of Irish stew and bangers and mash with Eden then walked around the lively streets. The river Liffey runs through town, there are colorful houses and traditional music playing from the minute we arrived in Dublin around 5. It's a very beautiful town with old churches and roundabouts and the air is very brisk. Signs are first in Gaelic then English. The parties are still going on outside our hostel and I feel really ashamed to be going to bed so early but it was quite a stressful day. We head to Doolin early tomorrow - only 2 and a half hours to the other coast - but Doolin is supposed to have a lot to do and Eden will only be with me four more days so I want to make the most of them.
This is Barnacles hostel - really lovely. It's obviously a popular place.
